Location: Remote in the continental USA. Maryland local applicants to be given preference and enact a hybrid working environment.

Hours of work: Typical hours of work are from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM EST Monday through Friday. Additional hours may be necessary as needed. This position is exempt from overtime.

Compensation: $160,000 - $200,000 annually

Overview: InVita is looking for an experienced, ambitious and metrics driven general manager to provide direction and oversight for our DNA & Forensics division. This GM will manage the DNA & Forensics division’s business activities and strategies, allocate budgetary resources, improve departmental processes, and engage with InVita’s clients and internal teams. This highly visible position within InVita will be responsible for formulating and implementing effective strategy; developed in close collaboration with Product Management, Research and Development, Marketing and Sales and InVita’s Leadership.

Who: Successful candidates are experts in forensic DNA solutions and have successfully implemented software products from concept to production. Comfortable with the technical applications InVita develops, our ideal candidate can easily and passionately convey the value InVita’s software brings to complex forensic/medical environments.

Essential Functions:

Oversee daily operations of the DNA & Forensics division for the delivery of professional services and customer support, including financial activities (approving invoices, payables, and expense reports)
Provide team leadership/direction to the Professional Service and Customer Support teams
Support Sales and Business Development, including direct sales and upsells to existing customers
Manage key client relationships and resolve client escalation issues as needed
Analyze processes and identify opportunities to increase business efficiencies, customer capabilities, minimizing incoming support issues and requests
Review Professional Services time estimates and provide comprehensive customer quotes based on collaborative analysis with the division teams
Manage the annual planning and budgeting process for the DNA & Forensics division and consistently meet monthly, quarterly and annual EBITDA and P&L goals
Proactively anticipate problems or opportunities and mobilize the Professional Service and Customer Support teams to address and help develop solutions, rectify issues, and improve service performance
Define operations metrics for division and report on those metrics to leadership
Align with Product Management and Marketing to effectively evaluate and translate the feature requests and needs of InVita’s Clients into products
Monitor InVita’s services deliverables, ensuring a complete and seamless integration of our software
Be the go-to person for insight into InVita’s software and provide support for the Implementation team and clients as needed
Collaborate and review development timing and solutions directly with Product, Marketing and Development teams
Complete customer subscription renewals, including any applicable supporting documentation
Collaborate with InVita’s legal counsel to review contracts, agreements and other documents
Provide ongoing performance feedback and mentoring to division personnel
Manage key client events and gatherings, including an annual user conference and presence at various industry conferences

Requirements/Qualifications:

Degree in Business, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field
10+ years in the SaaS industry, preferably in the DNA & Forensics or Public Health & Safety area
Salesforce CRM experience
Strong organizational and communications capabilities (i.e., must be able to listen, understand and manage in a highly technical organization)
Proven ability to identify and create business process analysis, data models and project plans
