 ICD-9 & 10 / HCPS

 At least 1+ year of Med Billing experience

SHIFT: Mon – Thurs: 7:30a – 4p | Fri: 7:30a – 1p

At LEAST 1 year experience in:

•Accounts Receivable

•Insurance Claims

•Insurance Deductions

•Co-pays

•Payment Posting

JOB responsibilities:

This position involves running and reviewing reports, identifying barriers to reimbursement, and finding resolutions for denials.

Handling all correspondence related to insurance claims or patient accounts. (lockbox)

Gathering and processing information needed to complete medical insurance claims and claim denials.

Must be able to provide direct assistance and reporting to the Billing Manager

A more specific breakdown:

Claim Generation - This includes preparing, scrubbing and submitting claims.

Claim Tracking - This includes monitoring clearinghouse, checking claim statuses and claim follow-ups.

Payment Posting - This includes patient and insurance payments.

Denial Management - This includes medical records requests, corrections, appeals and reconsiderations.

A/R Collections - This includes the balancing of the accounts, identifying over or under payments and outstanding amounts.

Patient Credit Balances - This includes balancing patient accounts, processing payment plans, sending statements and processing refunds.
