The ideal candidate will work from home during day shifts providing exceptional service and support in Pharmacovigilance and Safety Operations. Experience working with Pharma company or healthcare. Contact center experience with inbound/outbound programs involving patient and healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
- Identify and collect adverse event information and complete the in-take of a Pharmacovigilance Safety report in client system.
- Ensure scientific rigor through accurate, complete, and data entry of medical information through numerous adverse event reports and notes with emphasis on timelines and quality to meet regulatory demands.
- Review and evaluate case information for medical completeness and accuracy prior to the completion of processing through pushing, triaging or critical issue of all PC or AE reports within the regulatory mandated time limit.
- Respond to medical information requests using approved resources and documentation in client medical information systems.
- Identity product quality and device complaints and document in client’s product/device complaint systems.
- Compliance with departmental guidelines, SOP’s, ongoing training, and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
- Possess a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in customer service support roles in Pharmacovigilance and safety operation area. Prior health care experience required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Basic knowledge of general principles of adverse events, product quality, medical information, and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations.
- Solid understanding of medical terminology, pharmacology, human body systems and disease processes.
- Basic skill of clinical assessment with the capacity to triage calls and circumstances appropriately.
- Ability to acquire and assimilate knowledge in various fields, diseases, and therapeutic areas.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills in English both written and spoken.
- Ability to use multiple databases to document adverse event, medical information, and product complaint information.
- Excellent clinical judgement and ability to interpret, synthesize and communicate clinical information and safety data in a scientifically sound and understandable way.
- Robust critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to make prompt high-level decisions.

Hourly Rate And Other Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is between $18.00 - $21.60 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
