Rudish Health is currently seeking qualified candidates for an Assistant Vice President, Medical Group Operations for a healthcare client. The AVP, Medical Group Operations is responsible for ensuring strategic goals and objectives are met or exceeded by providing the leadership, management, and oversight necessary to ensure assigned functional area(s) have the proper resources, metrics, and talent in place to effectively fulfill their mission to provide healing experiences for everyone all the time and achieve organizational strategic (Game Plan) goals.
This role will function within a dyad model whereby the Medical Director assumes primary responsibility to define approaches to quality excellence standards and clinician behavior, while the Assistant Vice President will operationalize the approaches. This position reports to the Senior Vice President in charge of the Medical Group. The Assistant Vice President assumes 24-hour responsibility for assigned functional area(s).
Education and Certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred (required within two years of hire, with tuition assistance available).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required (or within one-year of hire).
• Advanced MGMA/practice management or healthcare management certification(s) a plus.
Experience
• Greater than seven years of progressive leadership experience within a large medical group practice.
• Integrated care delivery system experience a plus.
• Experience with achieving and maintaining NCQA Medical Home Certification.
• Results-driven senior leader with a proven track record of partnering with providers and multidisciplinary teams across a system to develop and implement solid business/practice management systems as well as safe care protocols that result in five-star HEIDS ratings and excellent CAHPS rankings.
• Strong leadership, understanding of medical practice operations, analytical, business acumen, and critical thinking competencies.
• Contract negotiation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to execute, including how to sequence events and milestones, plan resources, execute against tight timelines, and measure progress and success.
• High degree of compassion and empathy.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment.
• Ability to develop constructive relationships among all stakeholders.
• Windows/Microsoft Office Suite.
• EHR systems (Athena and/or Meditech preferred).
