At Atria, we are recruiting for a Lab Director. This is an exciting opportunity to use your superior operational skills to design and deploy the best possible experience for our members and teams and redefine the standard in care experience. The successful candidate will be responsible to:
- Define, coordinate and monitor quality assurance programs and supervise activities of the department Quality Coordinator/Representative. Ensure quality control and compliance procedures are followed and QC reports are up to date. Oversee plans and preparations for inspections
- Has the overall responsibility for the planning, coordination, evaluation, and supervision of all technical and/or operational activities and staff members in the laboratory
- Responsible for operating the lab with the highest quality, safety and integrity in an efficient and economical manner
- Effectively oversee quality staffing by interviewing, hiring, training and providing staff development in the laboratory. Mentor and support direct reports in their responsibilities and functions
- Identify and implement training programs as necessary to ensure they receive training in supervisory skill development
- Define, coordinate and monitor quality assurance programs and supervise activities of the department Quality Coordinator/Representative
- Coordinate R&D activities as they relate to operations and actively participate on subspecialty committees, corporate committees and business unit committees as needed
- Oversee plans and preparations for inspections
- Review and manage test performance, drive process improvements and project management
- Ensure departmental standard operating procedures and database accurately reflects the current process
- Develop annual budget and manage department costs and resources to adhere to budget
- Ensure EHS regulatory standards and safety procedures are followed
- Oversee plans and preparations for inspections
- Adheres to all established laboratory safety requirements
Salary: $160,000 - $180,000
Requirements
Comprehensive theoretical and operational job knowledge in designated specialty required
- Knowledge of organizational/departmental policies and procedures
- Proven leadership and problem-solving skills
- Must be detail-oriented, have the ability to work independently, establish work priorities and to handle several tasks simultaneously for maximum department efficiency
- Bachelor's Degree (Required) & Master's Degree (Preferred)
- May be required to use a wide variety of manual and automated pipettes and laboratory instruments and apparatuses all of which demand significant manual dexterity
