Job Description
Nurse Manager- PACU, full time, days, 7:00am-3:30pm, exempt position
General Summary
Under Nursing Leadership direction, the Nurse Manager is accountable for the delivery of patient care services which support the strategic plan of the organization and achieves clinical, financial and service quality objectives in one or more clinical units or care delivery sites in accordance within the scope of practice, professional, and regulatory standards. This role is accountable for the quality of clinical services delivered for the competency and performance of nursing team members and for designating and maintaining systems to support interdisciplinary team functioning.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligibility for licensure due to Compact state agreement outlined through the MD Board of Nursing is required.
- BSN required. Master’s degree preferred.
- BCLS certification is required. ACLS certification is preferred.
- Nursing Administration or clinical certification preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of recent nursing experience in an acute care setting; including one (1) year Charge Nurse experience. Proven clinical competence and proficiency in the area of specialty is required.
