The Vice President, Ambulatory Operations is a key member of the Enterprise Ambulatory leadership team engaged in designing and executing the overall business strategy and direction of the ambulatory organization for a defined region, ensuring the highest quality of patient care and operational efficiency. The position works closely with regional and system stakeholders to define key objectives and provides operational oversight to a portfolio of ambulatory practices across various settings (faculty practice, medical group, and hospital-based). Responsibilities also include developing new practices, identifying opportunities for practice growth and consolidation, managing financial operations and human capital, and working with business partners on the development and execution of business plans.

Responsibilities
- 1. Promote the vision, mission and values of Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS), Northeast Medical Group (NEMG), and Yale Medicine (YM).
- 2. Lead and implement clinical strategic initiatives related to regional ambulatory growth and development.
- 3. Oversee regional practice operations including facilities, technology, patient flow, patient experience, provider relations, quality, finance, and human resources.
- 4. Directly manage a team of regional practice leaders within Ambulatory Operations.
- 5. Partner with service line leaders, delivery network executives, strategy, finance and other key stakeholders in developing and implementing business plans.
- 6. Lead key workgroups aimed at advancing a unified efficient ambulatory enterprise including work standardization, facilities design, care model redesign, and patient experience.
- 7. Work closely and collaboratively with the regional medical director (dyad partner) in developing clinical operating policies and procedures and ensuring physician engagement, satisfaction, and wellness
- 8. Monitor and develop strategies for enhancing staff experience and promoting a positive team-based work environment.
- 9. Represent the ambulatory enterprise at relevant YNHHS, community, governmental, and other workgroups.
- 10. Completes other relevant business activities and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Public Health (MPH), Health Administration (MHA), or related field required. In lieu of master's degree, a bachelor?s degree and a minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressive healthcare leadership experience, with regional oversight over multiple geographic sites will be considered.
Experience
A minimum of ten (10) years of progressive management and leadership experience in healthcare operations at a large multi-specialty group practice setting with responsibility for multiple geographic sites.
