Job Description
As the Sr. Manager Medical Education, you will have oversight and drive strategic alignment and execution of Medical Education Programs for the organization. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Medical Education and is responsible for the entire end to end medical education experience to ensure the highest quality and consistency in the delivery of cadaveric workshops and medical education programs.
What you will be responsible for:
- Lead a cross functional team of medical education specialists to deliver local, regional, and national medical education events and experiences.
- Develop and coach the Medical Education Specialist team with a focus on teamwork, collaboration, and consistency; determining team priorities, timelines, and assignments to best support business needs.
- Develop, Designs and Delivers medical education programs in collaboration with sales and marketing based on annual needs assessments.
- Independently plan, organize and help execute a comprehensive calendar of Medical Education events according to the annual strategy and plan, including cadaveric labs, webinars, didactic presentations, and other events.
- Lead the site selection and overall planning for Medical Education events aligned with the functional and organizational strategy.
- Strategically evaluate the Medical Education program and processes, making recommendations and changes for continuous optimization and improvement.
- Develop new processes and database systems to support the Medical Education programs.
- Maintain knowledge of products, relevant clinical literature and surgical techniques
- Assist in the development and maintenance of an appropriate supply of functional instruments, power equipment, and product demo equipment to meet annual lab needs.
- Responsible for coordinating Medical Education logistics (e.g., shipping and return processes for lab equipment, specimens, etc.)
- Develop and maintains Medical Education vendor relations (e.g., specimen supply, equipment, lab facilities, etc.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in sciences or related field required.
- Minimum of six (6) to eight (8) years of successful medical education, or sales and/or marketing experience in a product company (medical device experience highly preferred) with demonstrated progressive levels of accomplishment. A minimum of 3 years people management experience required.
- Experience with business process mapping including process mapping tools and methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma
- Travel 25-30%
