Key Responsibilities
- Provide exemplary customer support by addressing a variety of inquiries regarding care authorizations, provider availability, claims, and other health-related topics.
- Manage both inbound and outbound communications, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently or escalated when necessary.
- Schedule medical appointments according to veteran or VA requests, facilitating seamless access to care.
- Research and rectify account discrepancies while maintaining detailed and accurate documentation of all interactions.
- Utilize company-provided tools and software to effectively meet the needs of veterans and improve workflows.
- Be flexible in contributing to the team’s overall success by taking on additional responsibilities as required.
Required Skills
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse clientele.
- Proficient in managing communications through phone calls and chat messaging.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and adeptness in navigating online resources.
- Knowledge of healthcare services, with at least one year of relevant experience.
- Effective problem-solving capabilities and aptitude for multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a call center environment.
- At least one year of customer service experience, preferably within the healthcare sector.
- Prior experience in a contact center, specifically managing chat communications, is highly desirable.
- Military service experience is a plus, although not mandatory.
