Job Overview
We are actively seeking a Vice President of Global Drug Safety to become a vital member of our forward-thinking and expanding team within the pharmaceutical sector. This role reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and entails leading a dedicated team of four direct reports, with the potential for future team growth. A strong focus will be on hematology-oncology studies, and prior experience in these specialized therapeutic areas is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage the global drug safety strategy across various phases of drug development.
- Supervise and support pharmacovigilance and safety monitoring efforts for our pipeline, particularly in hematology and oncology studies.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure alignment between drug safety and other functions, both at a domestic and international level.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a developing team, promoting a culture of collaboration and continual improvement.
- Maintain a hands-on approach, actively participating in drug safety operations as needed.
Required Skills
- Medical Doctor (MD) with over 10 years of experience in drug development, drug safety, and pharmacovigilance.
- Proven expertise in hematology studies is essential.
- Strong leadership experience with a demonstrable record of building and managing effective teams.
- Exceptional collaborative skills across diverse functions and geographical regions, particularly with teams in Europe.
- Willingness to engage in day-to-day operations and provide hands-on leadership.
Qualifications
- MD (Medical Doctor) degree is required.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in drug development, drug safety, and pharmacovigilance.

Compensation And Benefits
- Competitive salary range of \(380,000 to \)420,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
