Summary Of Position
The VP, Medical Affairs will effectively develop and execute the US medical strategy, ensuring alignment with objectives, and supporting the CNS portfolio (MS product). This individual will work closely with the executive team to develop and implement strategies that align with the company's mission and goals. The VP, Medical Affairs will possess a deep understanding of CNS, strong leadership skills, and a track record of successful collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Experience
- Accountable for the leadership, development, and execution of the Medical Affairs Strategy Design, the structure and assess the needed capabilities for the Medical Affairs team.
- Lead the medical affairs team.
- Provide medical and scientific leadership to support the pipeline products (MS)
- Develop and implement the medical affairs strategy in alignment with objectives.
- Develop and lead Key Opinion Leader outreach by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key opinion leaders, academic institutions, and medical societies in the field of CNS.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate cross functionally (clinical development, regulatory affairs, and commercial) to support product launches and lifecycle management.
- Use multiple communication channels to create and disseminate scientific data
- Monitor and analyze emerging trends in the CNS markets to inform strategic decision-making.
- Follow all established occupational health and safety procedures, good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) and standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
- Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctorate degree required
- Minimum of 10 - 15 years’ experience in medical affairs in the US pharma/biotech industry
- Prior interactions with public health agencies, medical and scientific societies
- Proven ability to plan and execute medical strategies and excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences
- Ability to manage and develop medical affairs teams
- Prior interactions with public health agencies, medical and scientific societies
- CNS experience is strongly desired
- Dedicated team player who can withstand the high demands of a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
